Board of Directors

CSSA Board Of Directors 2006-2007Each campus has two seats on the CSSA Board of Directors. The first is for the student body president, who may serve as a director or assign his or her seat to a designee; the second is either an elected or appointed (by the student body president) CSSA representative. Each campus has one vote; the campus decides which of its two directors holds its vote.

CSSA standing committees reporting to the Board of Directors and presenting their agenda items for action to the Board are the Executive Committee, the Internal Affairs Committee, the Legislative Affairs Committee, and the University Affairs Committee. The Multicultural Caucus draws its membership from the Board of Directors but does not submit its agenda items for Board approval. Ad hoc committees such as those governing the student trustee search or making decisions about the California Higher Education Student Summit each year also submit their action items to the Board for its approval.
