Internal Affairs Committee Responsibilities |
- The purpose of this committee shall be to uphold and
protect the internal affairs of the California State Student
Association. The committee will develop and revise:
- Policies and procedures
- Constitution
- Scholarship Funding for dues-paying campuses
- Other internal documents as directed by the board
- The Internal Affairs Committee (IAC) will ensure CSSA’s
internal processes are effective, fair, and comply with
sound business practices.
- The committee shall, at all times, insure that members
of the California State Student Association derive the maximum
benefit from their association by ensuring that the board
stay focused on student issues.
- The committee shall consist of the following voting members:
- The CSSA Chair (chair of
the committee)
- The CSSA Vice President of Finance
- Six board members
- Ex-Officio, Non-Voting members
- The CSSA President
- The CSSA Executive Director
- Chancellor’s Office Liaison
- The appointment of the committee’s membership shall
be for one fiscal year.
- The chair will represent and make decisions on behalf
of the Internal Affairs Committee when the committee is
not meeting, or is not in session.
- In the absence of the CSSA Chair,
the Vice President of Finance shall serve as chair. In the event that
both the Chair and Vice President of Finance are absent,
the Vice Chair will serve as chair
of the committee.
