University Affairs Committee Responsibilities |
- The CSSA Chair of the University Affairs Committee shall preside over the
University Affairs Committee.
- It shall be the duty of the University Affairs Committee
to review, research and make recommendations on all university-related
items originating from the Committee and/or referred to
it from the CSU Board of Directors.
- The Committee shall elect a Vice Chair at the first meeting
of the CSSA Board of Directors in July of each year. The
Vice Chair may be responsible for taking minutes and shall
assume all duties assigned by the Chair or Committee. The
Vice Chair shall assume the Chair position in the absence,
resignation or removal of the Chair.
- The Committee may appoint a Recording Secretary.
- The Committee shall direct the Chair of University Affairs
and the University Relations staff.
- The Committee shall take action on all university-related
items deemed appropriate or otherwise act on recommendations
by the Chair.
- The Committee shall, by the third regularly scheduled
meeting of the year, create a list of university-related
priorities and recommend this policy agenda to the Board
of Directors.
- The Committee shall create a plan to deal with the university
affairs policy agenda and any other issues deemed appropriate
by the University Affairs Chair or CSSA Board of Directors.
