ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY (CSU) BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees is the 25-member board that adopts regulations and policies governing the entire California State University system. Board committees have authority over educational policy, finance, campus planning, and facilities, among other areas that impact the 475,000 students of the CSU.
The composition of the CSU Board of Trustees includes:
- Five ex-officio members:
- Governor of California
- Lieutenant Governor of California
- Speaker of the Assembly
- Superintendent of Public Instruction
- CSU Chancellor
- Sixteen Governor Appointees confirmed by two-thirds of the Senate
- One alumni association representative appointed by the Governor
- One CSU faculty member appoint by the Governor
- Two students appointed by the Governor
ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY (CSU) STUDENT TRUSTEE
To better the California State University (CSU), two students serve as student trustees on the California State University Board of Trustees. Students serve for staggered two-year terms; the first year as a non-voting member and the second year as a voting member.

Monday, April 24, 2017 (Approximate): Applicants Notified About Status
Friday, May 5, 2017: In-Person Interview for Finalists (Invitation Only) at Cal Poly Pomona
